Professional advise and updates are provided to the ESAC Board of Directors and staff by ESAC's legal and financial advisors:
Rufus Wolff: Rufus is a principal with Wolff
Law Firm, P.A., and assists ESAC by providing membership application
reviews plus legal assistance to the Board and staff. His practice
focuses on tax, employment, employee benefits, estate planning,
asset protection, and general corporate law and is a nationally
recognized expert on the legal aspects
of co-employment. Rufus has been actively involved in the PEO
industry since 1987 and previously served as general counsel
for a large PEO. He has authored position papers for NAPEO
based on research of the history of common law related to co
employment arrangements and has been instrumental in the drafting
of state
legislation to regulate PEOs. He is a regular contributing
author to the PEO Insider and speaker at national conferences.
Rufus also is founder and a principal in PEO Services, Inc.,
a regulatory
compliance support services firm for the PEO industry.
He is a Board Recognized Tax Law Specialist, a Certified Public
Accountant, and has served as an adjunct professor of law at
the UALR Law
School. He received his Juris Doctor from UALR
Law School, graduating with highest honors.

Ryan Underwood: Ryan is a partner with
BKD LLP, one of the top 10 certified public accounting and advisory firms in the country. BKD
provides the confidential evaluation of financial
statements submitted by applicants and accredited PEOs for initial
application and for ongoing reporting requirements. Ryan also advises ESAC's Board of Directors on significant matters noted during these
evaluations and also updates the Board on major industry accounting
practices and issues.
