ESAC’s Board of Directors consists of experienced industry and regulatory professionals, including 11 attorneys, 2 CPAs and 6 distinguished former state and federal regulators. The Board receives additional support from its legal and accounting advisors and service providers.
The Board is responsible for establishing ESAC’s standards and procedures, governing ESAC’s programs of accreditation, financial assurance and state regulatory compliance services, and ensuring the confidentiality and security of participating PEO information. Industry directors do not have access to confidential PEO information unless a PEO specifically requests a hearing before the full Board. Participants have the right to request the recusal of any director with respect to any matter with which the director might have a conflict of interest. Board meetings are open to the public, except for executive sessions when a matter related to the accreditation of a specific PEO is being considered.
